About me
I was born on the 11th of July, in 1986, in Budapest. When I was 5 years old, I started swimming in the club named, Budapest Spartacus, and went to an elementary school that was co-operating with the swimming club. In second grade, a basketball session was offered and since my friend was attending these practices I decided to go along and try it. When my parents asked me to decide, I stuck with basketball instead of swimming. My first successful seasons in basketball was in the club, name OSC. We have won a few silver medals in the Budapest league and a golden medal in the national school league.

In 2000, I transferred from my old club, to FTC. Since our practices were in the other part of the city, I needed to switch schools as well, so I transferred to a new school. In this year, I was a member of the team that won the national championship in 2000. With a lot of work, I reached my goal and became one of the best in quickness and defense.

The next year, our club FTC has become Csata DSE, as our new club. We have won the national title each year and over the years I have become stronger and stronger part of the team. Over these years, the youth national team has started the preparation for the 2004 Youth European Championship under head coach, Sándor Tursics. I attended my high school years in a sport school, name Vörösmarty Mihály High School, where I got all the help I needed for the success in school and sport at the same time. After I graduated in high school, I got admitted with an athletic scholarship to Southeast Missouri State University, where I played basketball in the first 4 years and ran cross country and track in my fifth year. I graduated in May of 2010 with a degree of Health Management: Exercise Science.

On top the Hungarian success to win five national titles with my club team, there came the international success with the national team. We won the bronze medal at the U-18 European Championship by beating great teams like Belorussia, Ukraine, Serbian-Montenegro, and Russia. A year later we got eighth place at the U-19 World Championship in Tunis. With my college team, we have won three conference titles. In 2007, with the U-20 national team under head coach Norbert Székely, we won silver medal at the European Championship in Sopron. In 2008, we got seventh place at the U-21 World Championship in Moscow. I am very proud that I was part of this national and international success. After I graduated in college, I came home and signed a contract for the 2010-2011 with Vasas-Csata D-1 Hungarian team.

Along with playing basketball, I started to coach a little team of six to eight years old girls and boys.

My family
Athletics plays a key role in my family’s life. My parents used to be professional athletes. My mom won the silver medal at two World Championships in flat water kayaking and she is the owner of a spa in Budapest. My dad used to be part of the national kayak team as well and now he is the leader of a company and also the head coach of a club team, name AVSE, coaching athletes who are members of the national team. My brother, born in 1993, is a talented athlete, doing kayak in my dad’s team.
